CBP corrective chiropractic care: for you or not?

You might be wondering if corrective chiropractic care is right for you? What is corrective chiropractic care anyway?

Through exercises and corrective traction, we realign your back in ways that give you relief, improve function and prevent aggravation or recurrence.

Whether or not you are eligible is best determined by a consultation, examination, posture assessment and analysis of x-rays of your spine.

On the other hand, I can already tell you about the many types of disorders that have been relieved by corrective chiropractic care.

They include :

- Disc disorders

- Herniated discs

- sciatica / leg pain

- radiculopathies (arm tingling/numbness, leg tingling/numbness)

- Mid-lumbar pain

- neck pain

- headaches

- flat-back syndrome (loss of lumbar lordosis)

- thoracic kyperkyphosis (stooped posture)

- cervical kyphosis or stiffness, curvature inversion

- head forward, shoulders hunched.

And this is only a partial list.

Let's take a concrete example.

We have just carried out a comparative examination with a patient who complained of chronic lower back pain that prevented him from bending and moving.

He was recommended to us by a family member.

For many years, he had to cope with repeated crises, increasingly difficult to get through and above all increasingly painful.

These daily activities, such as climbing stairs, sitting or standing, were becoming increasingly difficult.

He wasn't happy, and that's not uncommon in pain that doesn't go away.

However, our patient did everything he could to overcome the pain, taking medication at first and then numerous physiotherapy sessions, which initially brought relief, but the pain persisted.

He was even told that he would have to learn to live with his pain and that he would suffer from low back pain for the rest of his life.

I want to be very clear on one point.

If I can help a patient, I'll explain to him what I can do and what his responsibilities are in his care. But if I can't, I'll also tell them, taking care to explain these options as clearly as possible.

So how do I know that corrective chiropractic care is the right choice for my patients?

After a physical, neurological, orthopedic and postural examination and an exhaustive understanding of the X-rays, I accurately measure the postural deviations and biomechanical abnormalities, enabling me to define my possibilities for correction and potential relief.

Despite occasional joint degeneration such as osteoarthritis, work is still possible.

Back to our patient, who recently completed his first three months of corrective care with us.

His pain has improved by 70%, he can bend and move again, and his posture and spinal alignment have improved on comparative X-rays.

And yes, we take X-rays to measure our work. Pain is measured using specially designed evaluation questionnaires.
