These are just a few quick words to explain my decision in 2012 to change the way I work at the Centre Chiropractic de la Colonne Spine, and to tell you about my discovery of ChiropracticBiophysics corrective chiropractic care.
My professional aim has always been to change the lives of the patients who place their trust in me by offering them reliable, scientifically-documented approaches to the management of their back problems or health problems.
When I first discovered the possibility of changing my patients' posture and the Chiropractic BioPhysics® program, it was a real revelation for me and opened up a whole new world.
In 2011, I attended a seminar given by Dr Deed Harrison in London.
Dr. deed Harrison showed us an image of what happens to the spinal cord when cervical lordosis (natural curvature) is lost.
In other words, whether the natural curvature of the neck is stiff, inverted or kyphotic.
This is often the case when we use our laptops and computers frequently.
The spinal cord felt strangled, stretched and compressed.
I was really stunned by this information and the image has stayed with me for a long time.
All I could think about was how this tension in the spinal cord was "stressing" the nervous system, which could lead to all kinds of illnesses, not just back pain!!!!!!
Even though I have been providing good care to my patients up to now with traditional chiropractic techniques and my patients were feeling better, I really felt and realized that I could, that I had to offer them more!
I felt I could better deal with the complex spinal problems that came to my practice.
It was at this point that I decided that corrective chiropractic care should be available to everyone in France, to avoid the negative effects of these vertebral subluxations (vertebral distortion malpositions) on my patients' health.
So I committed myself to attending training seminars with Dr. Deed Harrisson in Idaho.
In 2013, I attended my 1st full week of intensive BioPhysics® chiropractic seminars in the USA.
A series of six intensive modules on training in:
-posture and its impact on health, with analyses of all the studies published to date on the subject.
-posture correction and corrective traction configuration according to the CBP method and related publications.
This week focused mainly on research, joint biomechanics, case studies and clinical research into corrective care of the cervical, dorsal and lumbar spine.
I was very impressed by the large number of scientific research publications in the medical literature (there are currently over 354 publications on the CBP® technique).
This has been one of the most intense, exhilarating and transformative weeks I've ever experienced.
I was completely fascinated by corrective care and training in BioPhysics® chiropractic.
At the end of the week, a final exam. It was one of the most difficult exams of my professional career.
When I graduated in October 2013, I was very proud and relieved.
But my training didn't stop there.
In June 2014, I attended another week-long seminar series at the CBP® Doctor Institute in Eagle, Idaho.
This time, it was advanced training and another eight days of intense learning.
Advanced CBP® training included topics on the complex bio-mechanics of the spine, postural neurology, pediatrics, scoliosis management, as well as more complex topics.
To pass the final exam, I had to present to my American peers the complete management of a patient and the results obtained.
Since then, I frequently return to the center for three-day hands-on training courses in complex spine case studies, and the implementation or application of corrective techniques to stay at the cutting edge of clinical research.
Now, after seeing hundreds of patients in my practice and with my experience and knowledge of the Chiropractic BioPhysics® technique, I feel I have the answers and solutions for the most complex degenerative conditions and alignment and posture disorders.
When a patient comes to me with a spinal problem, and I examine their posture and analyze their X-rays, I'm confident that I'll be able to help:
-the origin of the problem
-what needs to be corrected
-and provide the best possible care.
For almost 10 years now, we've helped thousands of patients suffering from chronic back pain, disc injuries, chronic neck pain, leg pain, sciatica, numbness, tingling and poor posture.
We specialize in the prevention of back problems and the management of pain in a natural, conservative way, looking for the cause.
Don't hesitate to make an appointment to see if we can help you.
